After working for 3 years with London based atelier Based Upon, Alexena Cayless is now concentrating on her own collection of work. Her work explores the close relationship between art and design, reflecting her training as a sculptor as well as designer.   Alexena’s work was profiled in the ‘Britain Can Still Make It’ exhibition last September and is now stocked by Liberty.   Alexena’s work has been featured recently in The Telegraph and The Guardian.

Alexena lives and works in South East London.

Sebastian Denver Hejna

Sebastian Hejna’s designs tend to be playful and suggestive, and are quite often achieved by re-appropriating existing objects to give old pieces new leases of life, and steering people into rethinking their forgotten everyday items.  Sebastian’s background as a joiner and his professional work with CAD/CAM systems allow him to achieve a high level of material and process understanding, and individual commissions have included clients such as Urban Outfitters and luxury retail store Eco-Age owned by British actor Colin Firth.   Recently Sebastian has been tutoring at the Loughborough University School of art and design, an experience that has catalysed his interest in nurturing the next generation of designers whilst continuing his own development.   His newly developed interest in interior design began with a project managing role for Farm’s first interior commission; a café in Northampton’s old Fish Market, and he is now looking to pursue this interest with larger scale projects.

Sebastian lives and works in East London.
